Congratulations are in order for BB&D client Concrete Strategies, LLC, a subsidiary of St. Louis construction firm Clayco, Inc. BB&D attorneys Bob Blitz and Chris Bauman recently secured a judgment in excess of $850,000.00 in favor of Concrete Strategies relating to work it conducted at the Railway Exchange Building in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The case involved not only Concrete Strategies’ claims for damages but also involved complex issues related to the priority of Concrete Strategies’ mechanics’ lien in relation to several other lien holders. After hearing evidence presented over the course of four days of trial, the court entered judgment in favor of Concrete Strategies, determined that Concrete Strategies could enforce its mechanics’ lien on the property, and further found that Concrete Strategies’ lien holds priority over the other lien holders.
