Blitz who was included in Missouri Lawyers Media’s “The Power List: Sports & Entertainment Law 2023.” As noted in the announcement: “To create this list, [Missouri Lawyers Media] scoured the archives of Missouri Lawyers Weekly, spoke to attorneys and other leaders and looked to Missouri’s major sports franchises to come up with a list of what [Missouri Lawyers Media] believe[s] to be the most powerful sports and entertainment attorneys in Missouri.”
In choosing Bob, Missouri Lawyers Media states: “[I]t’s hard to find a lawyer who’s played a bigger role in local professional sports than he has. Blitz helped orchestrate the Rams’ 1995 move from Los Angeles. In 2014, he co-led a task force that sought to build a stadium with the intention of keeping the football team in St. Louis. When that failed, he and his firm represented the Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority in a breach-of-contract suit against the Rams that yielded a $790 million settlement in 2021.”
